Just in at Cedar Rock is the sister guitar to our last post, the Datlen 0000 featuring Cocobolo and Engelmann. Same all around specs as the Adirondack sister guitar, this one has very different attributes. Very immediate tone and fullness, combined with lots of harmonic “wash” and support to the notes. It still has that lovely Bass response that Datlen has seemed to nail, but with much more information provided to the box with the Engelmann spruce.

Just in at Cedar Rock is this beautiful John Datlen 0000. Featuring a lovely set of Cocobolo back and sides paired with a tight grained Adirondack top. Dalten was inspired to build by Bruce Sexauer, and you can hear the influence in the way this guitar responds. Fast attack with lots of robust low end, and a beautiful blooming effect thanks to the stiff Adirondack spruce.
